illumination (one light)

The beauty of shooting cities, and an advantage for a photographer, is the abundance of artificial lighting. The lighting in cities is not only functional but also decorative to highlight our architectural achievements, particularly landmarks such as bridges and monuments. This lighting becomes part of their character.

The collection Illumination (one light) features a series of photographs which have an absence of natural lighting but capture the artificial lighting we have placed in our cities. The long exposure technique finds colours in the sky which are not readily visible to the naked eye.
