timeless
Timeless is a collection which I started in 2009 and finished in 2016. The objective was to simplify a scene so you can focus on architectural details. Unless it is a cloudless and quiet day in a city, there will always be details that distract from the focus of the photograph, which include clouds, people, cars and water movement. Using neutral density filters to increase the exposure time, these distractions are either removed or smoothed (clouds).
Technically these were hard to achieve: they had to be the right type of cloud, moving at the right speed and not too many to obscure sunlight which was needed to illuminate the structures.
Photographs are taken in London, Paris and Singapore.
